Membership in the Vermont Junior Jersey Breeders Association is available to all youth under 21 years-of-age.
Jersey youth activities give juniors the chance to develop self esteem and leadership skills and opportunity to make friends with others who have an interest in the Jersey cow.
Andrew McReynolds of Danville topped the 2017 Pot O'Gold Production Contest with Avi-Lanche Dazz Buttermilk 12564.
Megan Hill of Bristol, right, was named Premier Breeder of The All American Junior Jersey Show in 2019. She also exhibited the Overall Premier Performance Winner of the show, Four-Hills Velocity Gloriana, and the best bred and owned female, Four-Hills Impresion Galaxy 5597-ET.
Vermont juniors compete for prizes on the tanbark trail each summer and are honored for achievements at an awards banquet held in conjunction with the adult organization's annual meeting.
Juniors enrolled in or heading to college are also eligible for scholarships from the Vermont Jersey Breeders Association. As well, juniors 12-21 years-of-age who are interested in attending the AJCA-NAJ Annual Meetings are eligible for financial assistance ($50) through the Bob Lord Memorial Fund.
